Fast Detox

I know. Too many choccies, mince pies and sherry trifle. In fact so much good food; a year's supply eaten in the space of two weeks over Christmas. No wonder many return back to work depressed, fat and broke. Depressed because the sugary food gives a sense of well being and feeling 'high', unless you eat too much in one session, and then you puke. That besides, after the christmas season is over, and all of the good food is off the shelves, it's time to think of reality once again.
You may be spiritually high too, as many attend church at Christmas and hear the real Good News of the birth of Christ, lured by the nativity scenes and the sound of angels.
It's good to keep up the spirituality and keep in touch with God all through the year and now you want to lose a few pounds too.
Go on a a fast. And you think detox is a snazzy new idea brought into the modern thinking person through the likes of c list celebs blaring it through their adverts and the media. No! God had designed it way way back. At the beginning. With the Israelites.
They fasted. God designed it to focus more on him. If you don't need to spend time preparing, cooking and eating food, all of that time (perhaps 30 hours a week) can be spent on praying and meditating on God's word and listening to God. Drink healthy fluids and you'll detox your body too.
A fast can be a few days and anything up to 40 days.
That's fun. A 40 day fast. After 20 days your body gets used to it. - Check with your GP first if you have any doubts.
Afterwards you'll feel amazing because God will be with you stronger and your faith will be with you stronger, and you'll feel lighter too.
You can do this at any time during the year and you don't need to go on holiday to do it either.

PS try to not watch TV either. Then you'll soar....
